UF Coffee Research Symposium

In October 2019, I organized and directed the UF Coffee Research Symposium. This three day event brought in 30 experts from five different countries to discuss coffee from myriad angles including economics, history, chemistry, mechanical engineering, and anthropology. Events were held at four different venues around Gainesville.

A proceeding of the talks is currently being edited into a publishable format and will be available here when it is ready.

What is the "fair" price for a cup of coffee? Some people think it is a dollar or two, others say it should be closer to $20. In this short video I talk with coffee importers who explain the market and why cheap coffee may not be a good thing.
